A skydiver has revealed just what it looks like to freefall through a cloud in breath-taking footage.
Hatton Smith, described on his social media as an entrepreneur and founder of drink brand Campesino, took to Instagram to share an incredible recording of himself jumping out of a plane and freefalling backwards into a sky dotted with fluffy clouds.
I'm unconvinced as to whether this is exactly what happens in my nightmares when I end up jolting awake minutes after drifting off to sleep, feeling like I've just fallen and hit the floor, or if this is something I have always dreamt of actually doing.

Either way, the video is pretty cool:
While hanging off the side of a plane is not for the fainthearted, Smith makes it look like a walk in the park, appearing completely unfazed as he holds onto the wing before letting go and falling into the sky.
The camera, attached to his foot, shows Smith leaning back as if reclining on a sun lounger, his trousers and T-shirt blowing casually in the wind.

Upon reaching the cloud Smith is once again undaunted, and unlike in cartoons when characters spring atop the white balls of cotton wool as if they're a trampoline, the skydiver falls right through. The cloud seems to have caused little effect other than a slight turbulence and rustling to his clothes and the shot.
Smith's footage naturally attracted plenty of comments, with viewers in awe of the skydive and debating what it must feel like to free fall through a cloud. One said: 'If the answer isn’t candyfloss, I’m not interested.'
Another wrote: 'Damn..my whole childhood was a lie.'

A third commented: 'It feels like touching the rain. It smells amazing and is very refreshing.'
And if that wasn't enough skydiving content for you, check out the shocking moment a pilot had to jump out of a stalling plane as it was sent plummeting to the ground, while this video of a World War II veteran jumping out of a plane to celebrate his 100th birthday won't only get your nerves racing, but will pull on your heart strings too.
