A 26-year-old substitute teacher is facing charges of soliciting sexual misconduct after she allegedly kissed a 15-year-old student and sent him nude photographs.
Emma Delaney Hancock, a former substitute teacher at the Wellston Public School district, began texting the 15-year-old in October 2022 to send him a school assignment.
A few weeks later, Hancock apparently received a shirtless photo of the student via Snapchat.

According to documents, Hancock responded saying: "Are we sending half naked pictures now?".
The teen responded: "I don't know, are we?" to which, she then allegedly replied: "Are you trying to get me to lose my job?"
From this point, Hancock and the student allegedly began exchanging nude pictures on a regular basis.

This escalated into the pair allegedly kissing in classrooms on two separate occasions.
According to the court documents, on one occasion the unnamed student visited Hancock in the classroom she'd been teaching in during her lunch break.
The two allegedly kissed in the closets and the teacher is accused of groping him during one of their meetings.
Hancock is the wife of the town's police chief Alfred Hancock.

The educator is facing two counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology and two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under the age of 16.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Charlie Dougherty, Hancock appeared in court on Thursday before turning herself in and posting $50,000 bail bound to be released.
Dougherty also said that due to the conflict that arose with Hancocks' relationship to the chief of police, the Oklahoma State Bureau would be stepping in to handle the investigation.
Hancock allegedly told the student that their relationship would 'amount to nothing' because they wouldn't get caught.

The student allegedly told his friend about the relationship, leading that student to then ask Hancock directly if she was involved with a student.
According to court documents, when the student asked her about the relationship, Hancock denied it ever occurred before admitting to what had happened.
Wellston Public Schools Superintendent Mike Franz told News 9 that as soon as the district learned about the allegations in November, Hancock was removed from the call list and banned from school premises.

Franz said the district notified authorities and fully cooperated with the investigation.
