'Spider-Man' has been spotted climbing a Los Angeles building in a bid to get the attention of Marvel.

I've always found asking someone which superhero they'd be to be a good litmus test: Superman is the layman answer for not having much imagination; Batman is an impulse answer without considering the fact you'd just be a rich man with gadgets; and then there's Spider-Man, the world's most popular comic book character.

He has super-strength, unreal agility, the ability to climb and run along walls and, in Sam Raimi's world, he shoots webs from his wrist. All that, and he's still a normal, friendly neighbourhood guy.

Sadly, for the vast majority of us, becoming Spider-Man will never be an achievable dream unless we happen upon a genetically modified arachnid. However, for the athletically-gifted practitioners of parkour, they'll come closer than most fans.

Last night, January 20, a person dressed as Spider-Man was seen scaling a downtown building in LA, alongside another figure dressed as a comic book character – the footage is a little blurry, but it appears to be a classic Wolverine Morphsuit, of sorts.

The pair also appeared to hang a large banner reading, 'Marvel Call Me' alongside a phone number. It's not been confirmed what the person dressed as Spider-Man actually wants, whether it's a role in a movie or a gig at a theme park, or something else entirely.

Details surrounding the intentions behind the pair's stunt are unclear, as per KTLA 5, but the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that a person dressed as Spider-Man attempted to climb a building.

'Omg we are living in the multiverse where Spider-Man actually exists!!! Frigging awesome... also texting him to see if he can get the neighbour's cat out of the tree,' one viewer joked. 'You think Tobey Maguire would have an agent or something that could help him get Spider-Man 4 going after all these years,' another joked, following the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

'These people are obviously crazy and they're going to jail but for them to even think Marvel let alone anyone needs actual criminal skyscraper climbers and that they're actually going to respond and take plaque for hiring them when they did something criminal like this is beyond me,' a third commented.

It's also unclear whether the person was apprehended or will face any charges - but with great power, comes great responsibility.
