'Skibidi Toilet' is among some 6,000 new terms to have made its way into the Cambridge Dictionary this year.
Internet culture and social media is so entrenched in our every lives these days that it is apparently changing our lexicon.
You might have heard of viral memes or trends such as 'Skibidi Toilet' that is touted by the likes of Generation Alpha, born between 2010 to 2024.
So, if you haven't hung out with any 14-year-old relatives recently, you'll be forgiven if you've never come across the animation of a human head in a toilet bowl before - and you're not alone in wondering what on Earth it all means.

The online sensation was born back in February 2023 by Alexey Gerasimov on his YouTube channel, DaFuq!?Boom!, in the form of a YouTube short.
Skibidi Toilet is considered a machinima web series, which follows a 'war' between creepy, singing human heads, with lyrics that repeat the word 'skibidi' and the toilet bowls they emerge out of.
After cranking up millions of views on the platform, Kim Kardashian solidified it as a moment in popular culture by showing off a diamond necklace gifted to her from her daughter that had the words engraved on it.
The phrase has since been added to the dictionary alongside other common internet vocab, 'tradwife,' a portmanteau of 'traditional wife' whom on social media might portray a 'traditional' role of cooking, cleaning and raising children, and 'delulu,' which in short means delusional but also refers to 'believing things that are not real or true, usually because you choose to'.
Yet, while these seem pretty self-explanatory, you might be left wondering what does 'skibidi toilet' actually mean?
Well, according to its new dictionary entry, the term has 'different meanings such as cool or bad, or can be used with no real meaning'.
In other words, it might be used without any real meaning at all, or could be a good, cool or bad thing, given the context.
Colin McIntosh, Lexical Programme manager at the Cambridge Dictionary, said about the latest additions: "It's not every day you get to see words like skibidi and delulu make their way into the Cambridge Dictionary," as per The Mirror.
"We only add words where we think they'll have staying power. Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the Dictionary."
Other words to have made it into the dictionary include 'Lewk', which is another phrase that rose to prominence online to describe a fashionable outfit or 'look,' and was further brought to the fore on RuPaul's Drag Race.
Concerns about climate change has also seen the phrase 'forever chemical' added to the book.
Meanwhile, 'broligarchy', which merges 'bro' and 'oligarchy' has been added to define 'a small group of men, especially men owning or involved in a technology business'.
