A woman who was found with mysterious facial injuries has left her family with even more questions after uttering her first few words.

Australian woman Rebecca Ode has had multiple surgeries after sustaining life changing injuries.

The former Seaworld worker was rushed to Ngoerah General Hospital in Denpasar, Indonesia, at around 1am on Tuesday (July 2) after what is believed to have been a terrible accident.

The alleged accident happened on Monday (July 1) in Nusa Lembongan, an island off the southeast of Bali where she was staying.

36-year-old Rebecca, from Newcastle, New South Wales, suffered multiple broken bones, including in her face, head and collarbone, and is believed to have lost an eye as well.

Her brother in law, Jesse Wilton, she was on an extended break and said she was found in a very bad way before she was taken to hospital.

What exactly happened to Rebecca is still not clear, but police and doctors believe that she had driven a Yamaha scooter into a parked motorcycle in Jungutbatu Village.

Rebecca has since had multiple surgeries and is alive, but doctors believe she is suffering from amnesia and still has a long uphill battle.

“She woke up and said, ‘What happened to me?'," neurosurgeon specialist Professor Tjokorda Gde Bagus Mahadewa told the Mail Online.

The family are also very eager to get Rebecca seen by Australian doctors and allow her to have treatment closer to home, but Dr Mahadewa has warned against this and highlighted the dangers of her flying now.

Speaking to ABC, he said: 'If the family want to evacuate her right now, she would need to transported with an air ambulance, because there may be some fluid trapped inside the skull.

“If she can wait longer here, she could fly in two weeks in business class so it is up to the family and insurance company.

"With [an] air ambulance she could be back in Australia in three to four hours, but if she waits two weeks we will scan her skull again to make sure the liquid trapped in her skull has gone and she can travel lying down in comfort."

Due to the severity of the injuries, Rebecca’s medical bills have began to skyrocket.

This has lead to her family creating a GoFundMe, both to help pay for the procedures and care she has needed and will need but to also get her to fly her home to Australia.

So far, medical bills have piled up to AUD $60,000 in just a few days. A flight in her current condition could cost up to $135,000.
