The highly anticipated Predator prequel will become the first full film to be dubbed in Comanche.

The film is set for release on Hulu on August 5, and with epic action shots and taglines like: "It hunts to live, it lives to hunt," fans are sure to be in for a wild ride.

Take a look at the trailer for the upcoming flick below:

Prey is set 'in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago' and according to the film's synopsis, the story follows Naru (Amber Midthunder), a skilled female warrior who fights to protect her tribe who are under attack from a 'highly-evolved' predator.

And that predator? Well, if you haven't already guessed, you might need to refresh yourself with the Jim and John Thomas' hit 1987 film.

Or you can just read the synopsis, which reveals "The prey [Naru - played by Indigenous actor Amber Midthunder] stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries."

As fans of the franchise gear up for another interstellar instalment, Prey is set to break language boundaries too.

The new film follows Naru as she tries to protect her tribe from the predator.

Producer of Prey Jhane Myers, who is herself Comanche, spoke about why having the movie dubbed in Comanche was so important.

Myers explained to comicbook.com: "That’s really important to me being Comanche and working with our Comanche language department, also with working with Comanche language speakers.

"But just the fact that people will have a choice, the world will have a choice to listen to the whole film in Comanche is amazing."

What makes the move even more special is that it's never been done before, with Myers noting that while films have been translated to Navajo, they've not been available in Comanche.

"That’s never been done for my tribe, ever. There’s only a couple of movies. I think Star Wars, which was 30 years old when they transcribed it into Navajo, and then there was Navajo again for Finding Nemo, which was 20 years old when they did that.

The film is set for release in early August.

"But this is the first time for a brand new film to come out and have that option to hear it all in the whole language.

"So that not only inspires the young language speakers of my nation, but that inspires a lot of other people and shows them, and like I said, shows the world what our language is about. Which is thrilling for me."

We can't wait to watch!
