You could be the next Peanutter for Mr Peanut!

The company responsible for bringing us Mr. Peanut is on the hunt for a group of 'Peanutters' to drive a giant peanut across the United States.

Believe it or nut, this is a bucket-list item you never knew you needed.

The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes from snack food company Planters, which is offering three college graduates the chance to take care of the 'nutmobile' and drive it from town to town throughout the US.

Applications are now open for those looking to get away from home, travel the country and experience life in a 26-foot-long peanut on wheels, enjoying 'one nutty adventure to the next'.

Who doesn't want to drive a giant peanut?

Hormel, which owns Planters, shared an advert for the job on Facebook encouraging people to sign up quickly before applications close on 14 February.

It reads: "Is traveling the country in a 26 foot long peanut on wheels on your dream job list? If so, you might just be in luck! We're on the hunt for 3 new Peanutters to drive the NUTmobile, from one nutty adventure to the next!

"The Peanutter position is a full time, paid, one year job opportunity from June '23-June '24. If you're a recent college grad and looking to go a little nuts at work, visit BeAPeanutter.com for job description and to apply! Hurry, deadline for applications is February 14, 2023!"

Nuturally, it won't all be fun and games and peanuts, as there is actually some work to do on the road, as the official job description explains that the chosen Peanutters will be 'responsible for planning and executing over 200 events annually, promoting the Planters® brand and the NUTmobile™ vehicle'.

You could be just as happy as this Peanutter.

"Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, securing media in markets across the United States, creating a positive brand experience for all direct consumer interactions, documenting and brainstorming creative content for the NUTmobile™ vehicle’s social media channels, while enthusiastically generating positive brand awareness for Hormel Foods," the description explains.

It might sound daunting, but do nut be put off because you'll also have the chance to interact with visitors while in a costume that I can only imagine will be extremely nutty.

The full-time job offers a year of pay and runs from June 2023 to June 2024. It's open to college graduates with a driver's license and bachelor’s degree in sales and/or marketing - and I'm sure an affinity for nut puns will help. You can use a few of mine, I won't tell.

If you want to be the next Peanutter, you can apply for the role here. Good luck, and go nuts!
