A lucky online gambler has scooped £65,000 in winnings – all from a £2 bet. What have you done today?

Dennis, from Burton upon Trent, who wants to remain anonymous, struck it lucky just before midnight, with just £20 left in his bank account.

His all-or-nothing bet of £2 netted Dennis the £65,826 win using online casino

Dennis hit the jackpot at about midnight, from his home computer, he said, adding he was too excited to sleep afterwards.

Recalling his good fortune, Dennis said:

I hit the jackpot around midnight and then I just couldn’t sleep. I was too excited and too much in disbelief to be able to settle.

I did try to catch some z’s but after a couple of hours of tossing and turning I just ran downstairs to get the laptop and check if the win was real and still there.

In a recent study conducted by, Brits revealed the cash sum they would need to win in order to feel like winners, valuing the winning feeling at £336K.

Don’t know about you, but Dennis’ £65,000 isn’t to be sniffed at for an online flutter of an evening. Better than losing it all at the poker table and pretending your withdrawal from the ATM for a cab home is the real win of the night.

Meanwhile, people in the UK need a £5.4 million lottery win to play out their dreams:

Here, it should be said, the term ‘need’ is used very loosely.

The average Brit reckons they achieve an average of three ‘little wins’ a week, but only one in 10 say they feel like a true winner at life.

In light of his recent windfall, Dennis has already started crossing things off his bucket list.

For starters, he gave generous cash gifts to each of his two children and intends to go car shopping.

With a holiday booked in Tenerife with his wife next week, Dennis is currently thinking of other ways to enjoy their retirement together, including finishing off their home renovation.

Last December, Dennis created an account on the site for the first time and has become a regular player.

Claire Steggles from, said:

We are always happy to see our customers win big, and we hope Dennis uses the money to achieve his dreams.

While a score of £65K is a little far off the winning sum we uncovered in our study, for a £2 entry it’s not bad innings. has over 1000 casino games to choose from, including slots, table games, live casino and jackpots, for total amateurs to those who actually know their way round the chips.

Meanwhile, for a slightly different online gaming experience in which you can earn a bit of subsidiary income, there are options away from the slots.
