A man has revealed his secret as he bags a whopping $4,200 a month reviewing Amazon products.

I think we've all wrote an Amazon review or two over the years.

Well, imagine if that a review, be it positive or an angry rant, was able to make you a few dollar rather than just making you feel a little better about yourself.

Well, it certainly is possible, with Trevin Peterson being the perfect example.

Though, if you want to follow in his footsteps then you may want to tone down the angry review part.

The 27-year-old first began as an Amazon product seller in 2017, something that has become very lucrative for him over the years.

While some months Peterson has brought home as much as six figures, the financial hustle has certainly not been all easy.

As is often the case with starting on Amazon, he suffered a fair few hitches - something that is also common with the majority of e-commerce businesses.

Along the way, Peterson spent an awful lot of money on products and Amazon storage that didn't really work out.

In an interview with Business Insider, the seller says one of the biggest hurdles people face when trying to make it on Amazon is getting the capital to start.

But after a few setbacks, Peterson began to learn what works and what doesn't with the side hustle, something that has allowed him to become a full-time seller on Amazon over the past six years.

So, what was once a small side hustle for Peterson has now turned into a job, and he began reviewing Amazon products this year.

He saw a post looking into how reviews can impact a listing on Amazon, and as a seller, that had him intrigued.

"Obviously, I wanted to prove the concept myself," he told Business Insider.

"And if it was as easy as what it was made up to be, then I was like, 'well, I want to do it myself'.

"Because who doesn't love an extra thousand dollars of passive income per month?"

Can't argue with that.

The program pays people for creating videos that get posted to product listings.

If a video uploaded leads to someone watching your video which then leads to a sale, the creator gets a nice lump sum.

It really is that simple.

"To be honest, I didn't think it was real because I am not a proponent of get-rich-quick schemes. And this is not that whatsoever because you have to actually put in the work," Peterson said.

But since reviewing products since April, Peterson has scaled to making over $4,200 a month over the past three months.

And, for anyone interested, he said it's a two step process after creating your free account.

First is social media eligibility - so while you don't need millions of followers, a hefty presence certainly helps. And secondly is on-site placement which requires you to submit three trial videos to get approved.

Then you are good to go.

"Depending on how much time you can put in or not, you can ramp up pretty quickly to, I would say, a conservative $500 to $1,000 in your first month, but that's you putting in an hour or two a day reviewing," he said.

And in the past month, Peterson says he was sent 'over $4,000 worth' of products to try out for his reviews.
