A newborn baby is being described as a 'miracle' after she was born at 2.22am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, otherwise known as 'twosday'.
Yesterday marked a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence as the date, 22/02/2022, was both a palindrome, meaning it can be read forwards or backwards, and an ambigram, as it would read the same way upside down on a calculator.
The realisation of this particularly special 'twosday' sparked a lot of excitement online, but the day was even more special for Aberli and Hank Spear, who welcomed their new daughter, Judah Grace, at 2.22am EST in delivery room two.
News of Judah Grace's birth was shared on Twitter and Facebook by statewide hospital network Cone Health, which explained she was born at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, North Carolina.

In the post written on her birthday, Cone Health wrote: 'Today is an extra special ‘twos-day’ for this newborn and her family.'
The network explained that Judah Grace's mother, Aberli, is a survivor of lymphoma who had undergone cancer treatments which made her unlikely to get pregnant. The Spears are said to have prayed they would be able to bring a child into the world, and following Judah's birth the mother said they chose the name 'because it means ‘praise’ in Hebrew', ABC News reports.
She added: 'She’s our miracle baby.'
Weighing 122 ounces at birth, Judah Grace was described as a 'blessing' in the post by Cone Health, which added: 'Judah Grace’s name fits her story perfectly... We are so happy for this sweet family! Happy birthday, Judah Grace!'

The newborn's story has been met with amazement from other social media users, with one person responding to the Twitter post to write: 'I knew we'd hear about a baby born today at 2:22! But in room 2?! That I was not expecting wow!!'
Other social media users described Judah Grace as 'lucky' and 'the chosen one', while others joked it was 'too bad' the parents didn't welcome two babies.
The Guardian reports there have only been seven palindrome days so far this century when using the UK date-writing format of day-month-year, starting with February 10, 2001, or 10/02/2001. The next palindrome date is set to take place on February 3, 2030, or 03/02/2030, while the last palindrome day of this century will take place on a leap day, on February 29, 2092 or 29/02/2092.
