Demi Lovato Needs Stitches After Hitting Head On Crystal

The pop star took to social media to show off their injuries

Demi Lovato has revealed they were left needing stitches after injuring themself with a crystal. I’m sure that was a fun one to explain to the doctor in A&E.

The pop star took to social media where they said the timing of the large cut wasn’t ideal, as they were due to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live the following day.

In a post on TikTok, the singer could be seen covering part of their forehead with their hand, while the caption read: “Guess who hit their head on a crystal and has to get stitches before Kimmel tomorrow???"

In case you couldn’t quite solve that cryptic riddle, Lovato then removed their hand to reveal quite a nasty looking injury just above their eyebrow. Ouch.

At the end of the clip, Lovato can be seen to mouth ‘f**k’.

Fans have been quick to send their well-wishes to the 29-year-old, with one posting: “Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Another said: “Demi, how did you manage to do that? I hope you're ok.”

Attempting to put a positive spin on things, a fellow fan commented: “Remember when you broke your leg and told the story on Kimmel? Now you have another.” Good point, well made.

Others used it as an opportunity to take the p**s, posting: “Guess the crystal wasn't that healing after all…”

While another person said: “I believe in the healing power of crystals… but sometimes they lash out, I guess.”

The singer is gearing up for the release of their new album HOLY FVCK, which is due to be released on 19 August.

In a statement via Island Records, Lovato said: “The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet, and I'm grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me.

“Never have I been more sure of myself and my music. And this record speaks that for itself.

“To my Lovatics who have been rocking out with me since the beginning and those who are just now coming along for the ride, thank you. This record is for you.”

In a post on Instagram, Lovato said the new album took them ‘back to their roots’.

Teasing an upcoming tour, they added: “It’s a body of work that’s unapologetically me, and I can’t wait to perform it on tour for you!”
