Fast & Furious fanatics should prepare to hear the word ‘family’ a lot during in the latest film because it is mentioned the most out of every film in the long-running franchise.

The tenth installment, Fast X, is officially out and fans have flocked to their local movie theatres to see it in their droves.

There has been a lot of anticipation leading up to the film’s release, with the franchise finally set to come to an end with the eleventh film thus marking the last time we’ll see the ‘family memes’.

From the bizarre video of a group of bald guys in black vests and shades repeatedly saying ‘family’ to the ‘nothing stronger than family’ picture meme that always circulates on social media, Fast & Furious and that word have a blood connection.

Although Fast & Furious and all the movies that have followed in the two decades since are loved for the wild car scenes and actions, fans also love to poke fun at the numerous times the word ‘family’ in mentioned.

The joke stems from Dominic Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) trust in his ‘family’ and how he can do anything as long as he has his ‘family’ and so on and so forth.

It turns out that Fast X is no exception, and fans have made a hilarious observation. The word ‘family’ is said by the characters in the film, as fans across the world would expect, however, it is actually said 56 times in Fast X, per the film’s IMDb trivia page. Good luck if you've challenged yourself to take a shot every time you hear the word, because that translates to roughly one shot every 2.5 minutes while watching Fast X.

Vin Diesel might as well record a cover of ‘We Are Family’ by Sister Sledge and add it to the film’s soundtrack at this point.

In the latest film, Dom (Vin Diesel) is once again embarking on an explosive mission to protect the most important thing to him - you guessed it - his family.

Dom must face the most frightening, vengeful villain he has faced so far: Dante Reyes (played by Jason Momoa).

As well as managing to manipulate and divide key members of Dom's extended family, Dante and his goons have kidnapped Dom's son Brian 'Little B' Marcos (Leo Abelo Perry).

But being the ultimate family man means Dom stops at nothing until his son is safe, although it doesn't come without a cost.

Fast X has seen the Fast & Furious franchise gross $7 billion globally since the first installment came out in 2001.
