Sophie Turner explains why kissing her ‘brother’ Kit Harington was ‘vile’ and left them both ‘retching’

Sophie Turner has revealed that she and Kit Harington had to lock lips for a new movie - leaving the pair 'retching' from the 'vile' experience.

If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, you'll recall Turner as Sansa Stark and Harington as Jon Snow - Sansa's half-brother. The pair shot the epic TV series from 2011 until 2019, and in that time, they really did grow up together.

Turner was just 15 years old when she started filming season one, while Harington was 24.

Anyway, the British actor appeared as a guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday (August 14), as she promoted her new movie Trust - which is earmarked for release on Friday (August 22).

But after they had finished speaking about the thriller, host Seth Meyers inquired about a rumor he had heard about the 29-year-old and 38-year-old Harington.

"Also, to loop it back to Game of Thrones, Kit Harington - who we adore here - you did a film with Kit," he said.

"That's so exciting. Now, how does that come about?"

Turner replied: "Well, I just got the script for this amazing gothic horror called The Dreadful, and I was reading through all the characters - and I'm producing it so the director [Natasha Kermani] was asking me, you know, 'Who do you think?'.

"And immediately the first person I thought of was Kit. And so I sent the script to Kit, and he... he kind of sent me a message back going like, 'Yeah, I'd love to, but this is going to be

really f**king weird Soph'.

"And I was like, 'What is he talking about?', and then I was reading it and I'm like 'Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex' - and then I'm like, 'Oh, shoot, that's my brother'."

She continued: "But it's such a good script that he was like, 'We kind of have to do it'. So then we put it out our minds and then we get on set and it's the first kissing scene and we are both retching. Like, really, it is vile - it was the worst... another really bad moment in my career."

Turner was then asked whether it was worse than having to endure a scene in Trust where a 'hundred' real cockroaches began crawling all over her.

She hilariously added: "Yeah. I have to be honest, it was bad."

While there were plenty of incestuous relationships in Game of Thrones... we don't want to hear it going on off-screen!
