The Stranger Things creators have managed to outrage their fanbase after making one comment in an interview following the end of the show.
Stranger Things has finally come to a close after ten years, and while some fans are pretty satisfied with the conclusion, others... well, others aren’t.
Since the final episode of the long-running Netflix hit aired on New Years day, people have been talking non-stop about the TV show. Some fans argued that everything was pretty much tied up nicely, while others remarked that there were still some threads that needed exploring.
So much so that the theory that Netflix had a secret episode that was set to be released a week later caught on, on social media, before being promptly debunked.

However, the creators behind the show, Ross and Matt Duffer, have managed to frustrate fans further with their most recent comments about the end of the show.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the pair spoke about the possibility of the show making a return.
Ross said: "I feel like this season really, truly does close the door on this story, on the story of Hawkins, and the story of the Upside Down and the story of these characters
“I guess never say never. [Maybe] in 20 years, if we're all broke and need some money, and we've all talked about it.”
He went on to add that the show was his and Matt’s safety net.
These comments have been argued to be ill-advised from fans online who have turned their noses at simply getting more Stranger Things because the creators have no money instead of having an interesting and relevant story to tell.

One X user wrote: “This is like the number one thing you do not say in an interview.”
Another added: “yeah because we all can’t wait to return to the show we loved because you guys have no money left after you ruined the finale we waited 10 years for… yeah that sounds great!”
With a third writing: “’All the art here is long gone but we might consider making some nostalgia slop for idiots down the road’.”
And another outraged fan admitted to still holding on to the idea of ‘secret episodes’ and commenting: “If those secret episodes don’t come out to fill in all of the potholes & twists that the fans have noticed, then these two will really go down in History for being some of the worst writers to f*** up their show in the end. and they’ll most likely have the same fate as GOT writers.”
UNILAD has reached out to Netflix for comment.
