Netflix has dropped a movie which is sending The Wolf of Wall Street fans into a frenzy.

The iconic movie that is The Wolf of Wall Street came out nearly 10 years ago - feel old yet?

And if you're still searching around for your next snappy, bold and star-studded movie based on a wild true story? Well, then Netflix has you covered.

Prepare to cancel all your plans tonight:

Imagine a movie channeling The Wolf of Wall Street but with a strong female lead at the helm and that woman is none other than Emily Blunt.

Blunt is joined by Chris Evans, Andy García and Catherine O'Hara and really, that should have you sold.

If you needed some more convincing the movie is directed by David Yates - the same legend behind the final four Harry Potter movies - with a screenplay written by Wells Tower and produced by Yates alongside Lawrence Grey.

A Wolf of Wall Street style movie but with Emily Blunt as the lead? Yes please.
Netflix

The movie follows the character of 'blue-collar single mom' Liza Drake (Blunt) after she loses her job and is at a loss over what to do next.

She ends up meeting with pharmaceutical sales rep Peter Brenner (Evans) which soon leads to her making the big bucks, albeit on a 'dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme' and with an 'increasingly unhinged boss (Garcia)' running the show.

Netflix's official synopsis, as per Tudum, continues: "The worsening medical condition of her daughter (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices.

"Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others do out of greed."

Wolf of Wall Street fans, prepare yourselves.
Netflix

The movie dropped on the streaming service on Friday (27 October) and Netflix users have wasted no time in watching it, flocking to social media to weigh in with their reviews.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user wrote: "Pain Hustlers is on Wolf Of Wall Street level of greatness."

"Watching Pain Hustlers on Netflix, it's giving Wolf of Wall St. type vibes but with Women leading," another wrote.

A third commented: "Stop whatever you're doing and go watch Pain Hustlers on Netflix. It's like a slightly saner version of Wolf of Wall Street."

And a fourth resolved: "Looking for a good new movie on Netflix? Strongly recommend this one - The Pain Hustlers - excellent portrayals by Emily Blunt, Chris Evans, Andy Garcia - regarding a disturbing real life fentanyl prescription spiral. Reminds me of Wolf of Wall Street in intensity."

Pain Hustlers is available to watch on Netflix now.
