Even Orlando Bloom has some gross habits, according to Katy Perry.
The Lord of the Rings star first met Perry back in 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party. Apparently, they ‘had a total dance-off – it was the best part of the party’, and they hit it off from there. Of course, it’s not been without its turbulence; namely, their brief separation and Bloom being photographed nude on a paddleboard.
The couple have been engaged since Valentine’s Day in 2019. While it’s unconfirmed, many believe they’ve secretly wed already.
The Firework singer recently appeared on Heart Radio, where she discussed spending Christmas with her family – the pair share a 16-month old daughter, Daisy Dove – and her relationship with Bloom.
She also revealed Bloom’s worst habit. ‘Oh my god, he loves to floss, which thank god because some partners don’t and it’s disgusting and he has brilliant teeth. But he leaves the floss, everywhere! On the side of my bed, and in the car, and on the kitchen table, I’m like, there are bins everywhere,’ she said.
The host suggested she should train him to do better, to which she replied, ‘Yeah well I’ve done my best.’
Bloom recently celebrated his 45th birthday, with Perry joking she ‘gave him a child which is a big gift’, before revealing, ‘He’s going to like, roam out into the woods, like the unchartered territory path, so I got him like a lot of gear for his car, and we had a nice dinner and everything was great in the world.’
‘I basically said, and this is the key, just talk to the best friend. I talked to the best friend, he gave me a running list and I said check check check,’ she added.
While describing this past Christmas as her favourite, she didn’t actually celebrate it until after the new year. ‘I celebrated Christmas with my family which was amazing,’ she said.
‘It was my favourite Christmas actually because my daughter’s now 16 months, and she’s like aware of presents and we wore Christmas jammies but we celebrated on January 2, so everybody was done with Christmas, and it was like, everybody wakes up, because Covid has been crazy. And I’ve been in a bubble, trying to save the show, so that the show goes on, even if the show is on the Titanic.’
Perry also spoke about her Las Vegas residency and the excitement for Adele’s to kick off in a few weeks. ‘Hers is going to be magnificent and I’m so excited to see her in that space that Celine was in, but I have no idea what to expect besides A+ Adele,’ she said.
