He may been in one of the most popular franchises, but Dave Bautista has revealed he finished his time in MCU in the ‘worst possible way’.

The 54-year-old actor revealed that the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy were in tears as they shot their final scenes together.

Despite having worked together for other a decade, Bautista barely had anytime with his co-stars as they wrapped on the third and final instalment of the Marvel films.

Released later this year, Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 will see original cast reunite for one final time, as Peter Quill leads the group of misfits on a dangerous quest to protect Rocket after his past catches up with him.

Starring alongside Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, Bautista will reprise his role as Drax the Destroyer in the blockbuster film.

Despite saying he feels ‘relief’ that his time as the character is almost over, he admitted that it is a ‘very bittersweet thing’ especially as he to leave almost immediately after filming his final scenes with his co-stars.

“I wrapped in the worst possible way,” he revealed to Digital Spy.

Instead of spending time with his co-stars, the actor was forced to get on plane as so he could start his next project, M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin.

As filming for the thriller began on the Monday and it left little time for the Dune actor to say goodbye to the Guardians cast, who he’d worked with for over a decade.

As the cast said their final goodbyes, they took photos and videos together, explained Bautista.

He continued: “I remember shooting the last scene we were all shoot together and it wasn’t the last day, it wasn’t even close to the last day but it was the last time the original version of the Guardians of Galaxy were on set together. We were all in tears”.

The former WWE Champion said that he feared there are more tears to come, as the cast gear up for their final press tour in May.

“It’s a very bittersweet thing,” he confessed, during the revealing interview and added that he felt very proud of what the cast had created over the last ten years.

However, he also acknowledged that he struggled to imagine life without his fellow Guardians.

“I’m also I’m leaving behind people that I’ve been on this journey with for ten years and they are family to me and I love them like dearly," he conceded.

Someone pass us the tissues!
