Another Chris Pratt casting ‘announcement’ has been fooling fans into Googling an NSFW photo.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star has a lot on his plate: he’s due to return as Star-Lord; he’ll play Owen Grady once more in Jurassic World: Dominion; and he’s set to voice both Mario and Garfield.
Pratt’s domination of headlines led to the inception of a meme where people come up with fake casting news involving the actor, such as Link, Peter Griffin and ‘Claude in a live-action adaption of GTA III‘. Now, one user’s ‘sh*tpost’ has been tricking fans and haters alike.
Twitter user @WyattDuncan posted an apparent screenshot of an article from The Hollywood Reporter revealing another animated role for Pratt: The Grinch. ‘I can’t f*cking do this again. I can’t. It’s like hearing about each new COVID variant popping up,’ he wrote, really adding to the authenticity of the ‘announcement’ and inevitable reaction.
Of course, he didn’t share it with a link, so people quickly started Googling ‘Chris Pratt Grinch’ to find out if it’s true. If you do, you’ll immediately come across a selfie of Pratt in his boxers, first revealed during an earlier appearance on Conan.
‘Bro I had to google this did you literally just make this post so that you could assault my eyes with Chris Pratt posing in his whiteys?’ one user replied. ‘Wyatt will just make sh*t up and y’all will believe him every single time,’ another wrote. ‘Googled Chris Pratt Grinch and just got a photo of Chris Pratt in his underwear and am scared now,’ a third tweeted.
Rest assured, Pratt isn’t playing The Grinch – yet.
