Struggling to know what to stick on as an evening to unwind to? Well, there is one particular series fans are becoming 'addicted' to.

Even with all of these streaming subscription services to choose from, many of us sit there endlessly flicking before finding something to watch.

While there are of course the classics such as Stranger Things on Netflix and The Grand Tour on Prime, it's nice to watch something new once in a while, right?

If you are a Prime subscriber or have Netflix, then one series you really need to give a whirl is Animal Kingdom.

Boasting an impressive 89 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, the series, perhaps surprisingly, is not about animals.

A synopsis for the Animal Kingdom reads: "Centers on a Southern California family, whose excessive lifestyle is fueled by their criminal activities. The series centers on 17-year-old Joshua 'J' Cody, who moves in with his freewheeling relatives in their Southern California beach town after his mother dies of a heroin overdose."

The programme also has an impressive cast lineup consisting of Peaky Blinders star Finn Cole, Ellen Barkin, Shawn Hatosy, and Scott Speedman.

Animal Kingdom has been a hot topic of conversation on Netflix Bangers, with many flocking to the Facebook group to discuss their favorite film and TV shows.

"A movie/show on Netflix which gets you addicted from the very start," one person on the group posed.

"Animal Kingdom. (It’s NOT about animals)," a fellow Facebook user immediately penned.

This led many to many other Netflix Bangers members reminiscing on how good Animal Kingdom really is.

"Miss this show it was the best!!!" one person wrote as a second added: "OMG! I love it sooo muchhh."

While a third simply put: "sooooooo goooood."

It comes just weeks after many viewers dubbed Animal Kingdom as a 'must-watch' after binge watching the series several times.

"I’ve watched the entire series over 10 times," a social media user wrote. "I can’t find anything better so I just watch it over and over again in between other series I find lol."

"Really good show. A must watch," another went on, as someone else dubbed it as 'one of the best'.

Animal Kingdom first aired on TNT in 2016, with Prime going on to obtain the exclusive streaming rights a year later.

The sixth and final season aired in 2022 after an impressive 75 episodes.

All of them are available to stream on Prime right now.
