Car manufacturer Hyundai has been around since 1967 and has had the same logo since it first introduced one in its early history.

Despite that, only now are people starting to realise an obvious hidden meaning behind the famous logo.

For many years, people thought the logo was just the letter 'H' standing for Hyundai - as you would expect.

However, according to Car From Japan, in reality it is not just a standard H, with it representing far more than that.

The Hyundai logo has a hidden meaning.

The Hyundai logo is the Korean word 'hanja', as the car company originates from South Korea.

The true picture of the Hyundai logo is actually two individuals shaking hands, with the H like alphabet representing that.

One of the individual's represents the company, with the other one being the customer - the handshake represents trust between the two parties.

People on social media have been reacting to the hidden meaning of the logo, with it being a mystery to many.

One person said: "I had no idea the Hyundai logo was based on two guys shaking hands."

A second said: "The Hyundai logo is not a letter H but a stylized letter H, which was designed to portray two people (the customer and the dealer) shaking hands."

Another added: "Rt if you also didn’t know that the Hyundai Logo was two men shaking hands and not THE capital letter H."

A user replied to that saying: "Okay I'm confused."

If today wasn't already full of new revelations, there is indeed another meaning behind the H in the Hyundai logo.

The oval shape around the H indicates the 'global expansion' the car company has a worldwide market.

Meanwhile, the silver logo supposedly signifies trust, innovativeness and sophistication as the meaning of Hyundai.

When it was first founded in 1967, the company did not emboss any logo and instead used a simple name plate.

After a few years of growing and establishing the business, the company came up with the logo which you now see on every Hyundai today.

Considering the logo is relatively old at this point, it's surprising it has taken this long to work out what it actually means.
