Two men were left baffled as they went to pick up their daughters from school but found that they were both attempting to collect the same young girl.

The bizarre tale was shared online by a social media user from Georgia, who is said to have worked in the front office of the school where the parenting battle unfolded earlier this month.

The men arrived before the children were due to be let out of the classroom, but both claimed the same girl was their daughter and that they wanted to check her out for the day.

Recalling the baffling situation, TikToker Sheena said: "And so, they both look at each other, and the dad was like, ‘Why are you checking my child out? Who are you?' And he was like, ‘Who are you? What do you mean? I’m her dad'."

You might think the school would be able to verify the correct parent due to all of the various forms and safety procedures in place, but according to Sheena, both men were listed as emergency contacts for the girl, and their IDs had both been checked. Even after that, the group was no closer to the truth.

The principal of the school then reportedly told Sheena to call the child's mother, who is said to have started 'screaming and crying' when she heard about what was going on.

As the dads butted heads over who was the rightful parent, the staff decided to separate the two men while they waited for the mother to arrive.

Sheena recalled how one of the men ran into the car park to speak to the mum when she arrived, saying: "When she got to the school, you know, one of the daddies ran in the parking lot to her. Like, ‘What’s going on? What's going on? Why you didn't tell me?' So, we ran out in the parking lot with them."

Sheena claimed one of the men hit the woman, who had allegedly been telling both men that they were the father of the girl.

She explained: "Nobody ever knew anything.... This was crazy. But, at the end of the day, the police [were] there. One of the daddies got locked up. You know, mama went to the EMS. Grandma had to come get the child, because nobody could get the child at that point. But, it was a mess.... It was a mess."

According to Fox, Sheena called the mother to follow up after the incident and learned that her best friend was responsible for the two men arriving at the school at the same time. She also claimed that she had not told her daughter about there being two men involved.

After Jackson's video was shared online, her TikTok page appears to have been removed.
