American Rapper Jahseh Onfroy, best known by his stage name, XXXTentacion, was shot dead back in June 2018.

The 'SAD' rapper was killed in his BMW whilst leaving a motorcycle shop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He just 20-years-old at the time of his death.

The court hearing took place on Monday (20 March) resulting in the conviction of three men in XXXTentacion's murder after nearly a week of deliberation.

Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26 and the accused ringleader Trayvon Newsome, 24, have been convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Surveillance footage captured the entire incident showing an SUV swerving in front of the rapper's vehicle as two masked gunmen then emerged and confronted X at the driver’s window.

One of the gunmen shot the rapper continuously after a 45-second struggle.

The masked attackers then stole a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000, which the musician had just withdrawn from the bank, before getting back into the SUV and speeding away.

Michael Boatwright is believed to have fired the shots that took X's life in the botched robbery.

He was convicted of one count each of murder in the first degree and robbery with a firearm, Law&Crime reports.

For each the two murder counts, the jury found that Boatwright 'possessed a firearm, discharged a firearm, and actually inflicted death as a result of discharging the firearm in his possession'.

Once the jury had declared their guilty verdict on Boatwright, he appeared to blow a kiss to the court camera just before cracking a smile.

The Miami Herald reports that Boatwright directed the gesture toward XXXTentacion’s family, who had also attended the hearing.
