Tom Holland says he gets more compliments from his Rihanna lip sync than any of his movies

The actor says he's very proud of that two minute performance.

Tom Holland has been in more than 30 movies, TV shows and theatre productions during his career.

Some of those performances have been praised as nothing short of incredible and he's also brought in billions at the box office.

Whether it's his role as Spider-Man or the amazing Billy Elliot, there's a character for everyone.

However, it seems that all of these roles pale in comparison to one performance that lasted just two minutes and 25 seconds.

The actor has revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that his 'Umbrella' lip sync as Rihanna is notorious for fans.

To be fair, it did shock everyone when he stepped onto the stage of Lip Sync Battle in fishnet stockings and a black wig to perform the hit song.

He kicked off his performance by singing 'Singing in the Rain' in a black suit and hat, however, he jumped backstage and came back with a lot less clothing.

Those first few bars of Rihanna's song sent shockwaves through the audience and then they lost their minds when they saw what Tom was wearing.

"It is an interesting one," the 27-year-old said.

"Because I've really worked hard in my career and I've really been calculated in deciding what it is I do and when I do it.

"And for all the movies that I'm incredibly proud of, the Lip Sync Battle is what I get the most compliments for."

It became a cultural phenomenon and continues to be shared on social media despite being released five years ago.

He said it came at a time when his career was really taking off and was honored to be a part of the show.

While some male actors might push back against the idea of dressing up in a revealing outfit and shaking their stuff for the cameras, Holland thought it was brilliant.

"I don't give a f**k," he said.

"I've grown up in the most non-toxic-masculine environment possible.

"I didn't realize what I was doing was so forward-thinking. I was just like, 'Yeah, f**k it, I'll put some fishnets on and dance in the rain. That'll be really fun. I don't care'."

Holland admits 'you'd never catch me doing that now' as he'd prefer to be chilling out and playing golf.

But at least he's still very proud of creating such an iconic piece of pop culture.
