When Taylor Lautner married Taylor Dome she took his family name so Taylor Lautner is married to Taylor Lautner, which is in no way confusing.
The couple already had a way for people to refer to them differently so there wouldn't be any massive mix-up between the two, with the actor going by Taylor and his wife going by Tay.
However, they've since refined the formula even further and changed what people call them again to avoid confusing friends and family.
By the way, this isn't the first time Taylor Lautner has dated a woman named Taylor so this is possibly an issue he's had to consider more than once in the past.

Anyhow, the couple aren't just Taylor and Tay any more, they've now got more distinctive names so everyone knows who is talking about who when they talk about Taylor Lautner.
Speaking on TODAY to promote their new mental health podcast The Squeeze, they revealed their new naming system for people to address them properly.
"We've kind of got 'boy Tay', 'girl Tay' going on and that was how they'd differentiate it but now I'm always girl Tay and he's always boy Tay even when we're not together," Girl Tay explained on the show.

In an admittance that their new system works we're going to use it for the rest of the piece, and boy Tay recently joked that he was 'praying' for John Mayer ahead of Taylor Swift re-releasing her Speak Now album soon.
The Twilight movies star said he felt 'safe' ahead of the re-release of his ex-girlfriend's album which is due to be out next month.
Boy Tay said he thought it was a 'great album' though his breakup with Swift was the subject of the song 'Back to December'.

Whatever is headed his way from the Swifties he expects Mayer to get it worse as the song 'Dear John' was about him.
"Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone, don't you think I was too young to be messed with?" Sounds pretty unflattering as lyrics go, though Swift wasn't done with him yet.
"You'll add my name to your long list of traitors who don't understand."
Just be glad nobody's singing that about you.

Back on the subject of boy Tay and girl Tay, they met back in 2018 and had to overcome the slight hiccup that in her youth girl Tay had been a steadfast 'Team Edward' supporter.
