Susan Sarandon Responds Perfectly To Tweet About Her Acting 'Slutty' In Movies

Susan Sarandon has sent out a message to Hollywood execs about the type of roles she’d be up for playing in future

Susan Sarandon has sent out a strong message to Hollywood execs about the type of roles she’d be up for playing in future – and it’s pretty bloody brilliant.

A fan of the Oscar-winning actor tweeted: “One of the worst things Hollywood ever did was stop making movies where Susan Sarandon gets to act slutty.”

And suffice to say, the actor's response took the internet by storm.

Sarandon appeared to agree as she replied: “There’s still plenty of time.”

You heard the woman, Hollywood – make it happen.

She followed her original post with another in which she quote-tweeted a post that read 'slut era', writing: “Yep.”

And then to really hammer the message home she shared tweeted: “Glad my feed can be a safe space for all sluts and all whores.”

The 75-year-old’s cheeky tweet quickly went viral with many fans keen for it to happen.

One person commented: “Susan Sarandon living her best, happy, slutty life in a new movie? TAKE MY MONEY NOW!”

Another wrote: “Susan being a slut mistress in a movie would be everything to me in this chaotic moment!”

Someone else joked: “Elon Musk can buy Twitter, sure. But he'll never own it. Not like this.”

While a fourth said: “The world needs healing and Susan is the only one who can save us.”

Another fan demanded: “Give us this movie, you cowards.”

During her five decades in front of a camera, Sarandon has starred in a bunch of Hollywood classics, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Thelma & Louise and The Witches of Eastwick

And although she’s more than happy to ‘act slutty’, Sarandon has previously revealed that she was warned that once she became a mum she’d no longer be considered ‘sensual’.

Speaking to PEOPLE back in 2012 she said: “I was told by John Cassavetes when I did The Tempest never to be a mom because I would not be sensual anymore.”

When asked how she reacted, she said: “I think I laughed.”

Saradon has gone on to have three kids – one daughter and two sons – and is happy to still be considered a sex symbol.

She told the publication: "I'm happy to be considered desirable. I love it!"

She went on: "I think there's a lot of guys who like strong women.

"Maybe because women have raised sons who have different expectations.

"I think we can take some credit for that!"
