Sharon Stone says ex-boyfriend dumped her because she didn't get Botox

The star said that he lost interest after she said she wouldn't be getting Botox

Sharon Stone has revealed that a former partner ended their relationship over her refusal to have Botox.

The Basic Instinct star has opted to embrace growing older rather than turning to cosmetic procedures in an attempt to turn back the clock - however, it seems not everyone in her life has been happy about that decision.

Opening up to Vogue in August this year, Stone said her younger partner had asked her if she got Botox to which she replied: “It would probably be really good for your ego and mine if I did.”

Stone said that she saw the man just one more time before he decided he wasn’t interested in carrying things on.

“I saw him one more time after that and then he wasn’t interested in seeing me anymore,” she shared.

“If you don’t see me for more than that, you’ll please find your way to the exit.”

The actor said that Botox turned from a ‘cute luxury’ to a ‘massive painful need’ after she suffered a stroke.

She said: “There were periods in the super fame when I got Botox and filler and stuff, and then I had this massive stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage and I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again.”

And Stone isn’t the only celebrity who has spoken out about Botox, as earlier this month, Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis urged her fans ‘not to mess with their face’.

During a recent appearance on TODAY, Curtis shared the advice that she gave to her daughters Annie, 35, and Ruby, 26, about growing older - and she didn’t mince her words.

“Don’t mess with your face,” she said, before admitting to undergoing procedures in the past but found she was less than happy with the results.

She went on: "I did plastic surgery. I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine."

And in an interview with Fast Company last year, she said: “The current trend of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on Zoom are wiping out generations of beauty. Once you mess with your face, you can’t get it back.”

She also revealed the horrendous repercussions of having plastic surgery.

“I tried plastic surgery and it didn’t work,” she remarked. “It got me addicted to Vicodin. I’m 22 years sober now.”
