Shaquille O'Neal says he knows what Kanye's going through

Shaq has been there, apparently

Shaquille O'Neal has said he can relate to what Kanye West is going through, since he 'used to be a narcissist' himself.

The NBA star is the latest person to have beef with Ye after what's certainly been a rough few months for the 'Stronger' rapper.

It all kicked off when Shaq called out Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving for posting a link to the anti-Semitic film Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America! on social media.

Furious over Irving's post, Shaquille told TV network TNT: "It hurts me sometimes when we have to sit up here and talk about stuff that divides the game. Now, we have to answer for what this idiot has done."

Not long after that, Kanye, who has also been in serious hot water for his own anti-Semitic remarks recently, lashed out at the basketball legend.

With his newly reinstated Twitter account - cheers for that one, Elon Musk - Kanye criticised Shaq's recent business dealings, claiming that he had been played by billionaire Jamie Salter.

“Shaq is in business with Jamie Salter," Ye tweeted.

"Jaimie first said he’s 50/50 with David Beckham and 50/50 with Shaq I said ‘Jamie... There’s no such thing as 50/50 in business... Who has the extra 1 percent for the control and voting rights."

Shaquille was quick to set to record straight, though, assuring Kanye: "Believe me you don’t know me like that.

"Worry about your business, and to quote the once great Kanye west ‘I got more money than you, so why would I listen to you’ take my advice get your family business in order. Have a great day brother."

But Shaquille didn't stop there.

In the latest episode of his podcast The Big Podcast with Shaq, he decided to take one last dig at Ye.

In perhaps the biggest backhand ever seen, the athlete said that, in a way, he sympathised with Kanye, since he used to be a narcissist too.

"When I look at Kanye, I say you know what, I know what he's going through. You know why I know what he's going through? Because I used to be a narcissist", he said.

"First example, when you're a narcissist, mom takes the kids away from you. Second example, when you're a narcissist, things start disappearing."

The rapper has been branded as a 'narcissist' by the NBA star.

Shaq explained that he snapped out of his narcissistic ways after going through a divorce and seeing his ex-wife Shaunie take their children with her.

"When mom left, when the kids left, when my career was over.

"You know how you fix that? You gotta humble yourself. That’s why I am where I am now. I don’t look down on people because they’re lesser.”

Not sure how long it's going to take for Kanye to recover from that burn.
