Priscilla Presley has filed legal documents challenging an amendment found in her late daughter Lisa Marie’s trust.

Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s only daughter Lisa Marie died this month aged 54 after suffering two cardiac arrests.

Weeks after her death, Priscilla, 77, is legally challenging an amendment to Lisa Marie’s trust.

The American actor and businesswoman is asking a judge to declare the amendment invalid and listed reasons why it could be a fraud.

The court documents allege that the amendment could be fraudulent.

The legal documents, which were obtained by The New York Post on Friday (27 January) state that the amendment, which was made seven years ago, eliminates her as a trustee.

Lisa Marie executed a revocable living trust on January 29 1993, which she then amended and completely restated on 27 January 2010, the documents state.

The change, which was added to the document in 2016, is said to remove Lisa Marie’s former business manager Barry Siegel and Priscilla as trustees.

Lisa Marie cut ties with Siegel after accusing him of mismanaging her assets. She sued Siegel in 2018, claiming he squandered millions.

It names Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley, 33, and son Benjamin Keough, as trustees.

Benjamin died by suicide in July 2020 and is buried on the Graceland estate.

His death would make Riley the only trustee of her mother’s estate.

Priscilla claims she discovered this amendment following her daughter’s death and is now claiming the amendment is invalid.

Lisa Marie’s signature on the amendment 'appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature', according to the court documents.

The new legal papers claim that Priscilla's name is misspelled and the date is suspicious.

The court filing states: "Lisa Marie Presley appointed her mother, Petitioner, and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-Trustees effective as of the date of the 2010 restatement.

"The 2010 restatement further provides that Petitioner and Barry Siegel shall continue to serve as co-Trustees upon Lisa Marie Presley's subsequent incapacity and/or death.

"There are many issues surrounding the authenticity and validity of the Purported 2016 Amendment.

"The Purported 2016 Amendment was never delivered to Petitioner during Lisa Marie Presley's lifetime as required by the express terms of the Trust.

The court document lists reasons why the amendment could be fraudulent:

  1. The date of the Purported Trust Amendment was added via .pdf on March 14.
  2. The Purported 2016 Amendment, allegedly signed by Lisa Marie Presley, misspells her mother's name.
  3. No provisions of the Purported 2016 Amendment appear on the signature page.
  4. Lisa Marie Presley's signature appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature.
  5. The Purported 2016 Amendment was neither witnessed nor notarized.
