Pete Davidson has been 'seeking trauma therapy' due to Kanye West's 'online harassment'

It comes after the rapper claimed the SNL comedian was 'dead' following his breakup with Kim Kardashian.

An insider close to Pete Davidson has alleged the comedian is currently seeking 'trauma therapy' due to Kanye West's 'online harassment'.

It’s no secret that Ye has been coming for the Saturday Night Live star for a while now.

But in the wake of his very public breakup with Kim Kardashian, the trolling appears to have taken its toll on the 28-year-old.

An insider revealed to PEOPLE: "The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he's had to seek out help."

The insider also maintained that Davidson ‘has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she's been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.’

They added: "Moving forward he just wants to focus on his career.”

Onwards and upwards, Pete.

UNILAD has reached out to Pete Davidson's team for a comment.

The source's comments come after West posted a mock-up photo of a New York Times cover announcing, ‘Skete Davidson dead at age 28’, yesterday (Monday, August 8).

In March, the ‘Heartless’ rapper also released a music video for his song ‘Eazy’ featuring The Game, which depicted the former SNL star in cartoon form being abducted and thrown onto the back of a motorcycle.

Davidson then gets buried with only his head poking out.

Cartoon Ye can be seen in the video throwing rose seedlings over the top, with flowers growing out of the comedian’s head.

Following the graphic music video, Davidson shared in a since-deleted post text messages of his and the rapper’s heated exchange.

“Yo it’s Skete. Can you please take a second and calm down," Pete said to West. "It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this.

“Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f***ing lucky that she’s your kids mom.

“I’ve decided I'm not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the f**k up.”

West responded: “Oh you using profanity now. Where are you right now?”

To which Davidson said: “In bed with your wife.”

In February, Kardashian also issued a statement on an Instagram story, begging the ‘Runaway’ rapper to stop with his slew of public attacks, according to ELLE.

She wrote in part: “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.

“From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.”
