Fans have spotted ‘evidence’ of Jada Pinkett and Will Smith’s seven-year separation in resurfaced videos

Fans are convinced some resurfaced clips of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are 'evidence' of their split.

If you're still not over Jada Pinkett Smith revealing her and Will Smith have actually been separated for seven years, then apparently you're not alone.

People are taking to social media to share clips from previous interviews featuring the former celebrity couple which may've hinted not all was as it seemed.

Yesterday (11 October), Jada revealed she and Smith had secretly been separated since 2016, but had outwardly still presented themselves as a couple.

On the Today show, Jada told Hoda Kotb by the time she and Will got to 2016, they were 'exhausted with trying'.

"I think we were both still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be," she said.

While the news came as a shock to many, some fans have re-shared footage of the pair in past interviews discussing their relationship and believe some moments are 'evidence' of the break-up.

The first clip to be dragged back up again involves Jada talking about her 'entanglement' with singer August Alsina on her Red Table Talk show.

In the discussion, Jada said she got into the 'entanglement' with August when her and Will's marriage was on the rocks and they'd 'basically broken up' - the pair even admitting they'd separated for 'a period of time'.

Well, little did fans know that period of time was actually part of a whole seven years.

However, at the end of the discussion, Will said since Jada and August's 'relationship' had ended, they'd 'really gotten to that new place of unconditional love'.

But looking back at the clip, fans of the pair think they should have taken the former couple's admittance of separating for what it was.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user wrote: "Jada Pinkett Smith says her and Will Smith have been separated since 2016. No wonder she was having an entanglement with August Alsina right under the same roof with Will."

"He look drained," another said.

A third added: "I feel like Jada and Will told us very explicitly during the entanglement storyline that they were separated. Surely that’s not new news."

Fans have also gone over Jada's appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2017.

The host asked The Matrix star how she and Will keep their sex life 'hot'.

"We've been together 23 years," she said. "Um... How do I keep it hot? [...] You know? I don't know. I'm baffled really."
