Sharon Stone finally shared name of producer who 'pressured her' to have sex with co-star

The actress revealed the name while talking to Louis Theroux

Sharon Stone claimed she was allegedly 'pressured' into having sex with a co-star to make his 'performance better'.

The 67-year-old actress has enjoyed a glittering career, shooting to stardom in the 1990s after landing a role alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall.

Two years later, she gained international acclaim for her role as Catherine Tramell in the erotic 1992 thriller Basic Instinct, before earning a Golden Globe for her performance in Martin Scorsese's crime drama Casino in 1995.

The mom-of-three went on to appear in several high-profile movies and in 2021 dropped her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, about her life on the big screen.

However, Stone also recalled in the book a moment where she claims to have been pressured into having sex with a co-star - but stopped short of dropping names at the time.

"You guys insisted on this actor when he couldn't get one whole scene out in the test," she penned. "Now you think if I f**k him, he will become a fine actor? Nobody's that good in bed."

Now, she has finally come clean about when the incident is alleged to have taken place.

Speaking on Louis Theroux's podcast, Stone revealed it unravelled during the filming of the 1993 movie Silver, where she starred alongside Alex Baldwin's brother, Billy Baldwin.

Since the movie was coming out on the heels of Basic Interest, Stone said the producers expected her to make another blockbuster.

"They expected me to bring home another giant smash hit, and they gave me casting approval and they gave me all these approvals, but then when it came time for me to do it, they told me it was a vanity deal and I couldn't have my approvals," she told the British journalist.

"Then they started to try to blame me for their mistakes, and they made terrible mistakes in the way that they hired directors and cast."

Then, when she said she 'should've been on set', Stone claims she was called to the office of actor-turned-producer Robert Evans, who died in 2019.

"He called me to his office," Stone said. "He had these very low seventies and eighties couches, so I was essentially sitting on the floor when I should have been on set."

She then dropped the bombshell that Evans allegedly encouraged her to sleep with Baldwin in a bid to boost his performance and 'save the movie'.

"He's running around his office in sunglasses, explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin's performance would get better," she added.

"And we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem.

"And if I could sleep with Billy, then we'd have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him, then that would save the movie, and the real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track.

"The real problem was I was such a tight a**e."

She concluded: "I didn't have to f**k Michael Douglas", who she starred alongside in Basic Instinct.

"Michael could come to work and know how to hit those marks, and do that line, and rehearse and show up. Now, all of a sudden, I'm in the 'I have to f**k people' business," Stone said.

Evans, who worked on iconic movies including The Godfather in 1972 and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in 2003, died at the age of 89.

UNILAD previously reached out to representatives for Billy Baldwin, but they declined to comment.
