Sam Asghari criticized after making jokes amid Britney Spears divorce

Following the sad news of Britney Spears and her husband announcing their divorce, it seems Sam Asghari isn't quite taking the split as seriously as he should be.
Sam Asghari, a 29-year-old actor, model and fitness trainer from Iran, met the 'Oops!...I Did It Again' singer in 2016 when she was shooting the video for then track 'Slumber Party'.
At the time, Britney was fighting a case to end her father Jamie's conservatorship, which she won just a couple of months before the two married.
Having gotten engaged in September 2021 and married in June 2022, the celebrity marriage lasted just over a year and the pair are now proceeding with divorce.

There had been rumours of 'marital struggles' circulating in the media for a while, with the pair being papped without their wedding rings in public.
Sam was the one to first announce the split on his Instagram, in which he wrote: "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.
"We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous [sic] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful."
However, some fans are starting to believe that Sam has gone against his own message of being respectful during the difficult time for the pair, as he's taken to social media to ask for his followers' advice on what disguise to wear to hide from paparazzi.
The post, shared to his Instagram story yesterday (19 August) was set up as a question that followers could respond.
It read: "Help me choose a paparazzi disguise," with a thinking emoji. Below the question was three images of Sam with three different filters on, sporting a range of haircuts and sunglasses.
Disgusted fans have taken to Twitter to share their outrage, with one simply writing: "This is not a joke."
Whilst another added: "Sam Asghari's attempt to involve fans in his paparazzi disguise decision shows a lack of sensitivity towards his ongoing divorce from Britney Spears.
"It's disappointing to see him trivialize such a serious matter for personal gain."
It seems the model, who has 3 million followers, has turned off his comments on his most recent posts.
However, if you scroll back as far as May it's clear that Britney's fans are still finding ways to let him know that they believe he has done her wrong.
