Jennifer Aniston has revealed a personal detail about herself by accident after uploading an Instagram selfie and urging fans to vote.

Jennifer, who is best known for her role as Rachel Green in the US sitcom Friends, shared a snap of herself with her voting badge as she urged others to make their vote count in the US elections.

Writing on Instagram, the Friends star said: "Hi friends.Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.

"Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters. I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?

"Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy - and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us."

She continued: "I very proudly voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

"We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands! We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors and let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE."

The post has been flooded with comments from fans, as one said: "Thank you for being a voice for young women and for our future. im grateful to look up to you."

Another shared: "Thank you for being a celebrity that is using your platform for good, not to bully and harass scientists who are trying to undo harmful health disinformation."

"Just when I didn’t think I could respect you more, you post this!"

While lots of attention was focused on the political side of Jennifer's post, what hadn't gone unnoticed was her personal photographs framed in the background.

In one white wood framed picture was a snap of her two dogs, Clyde and Lord Chesterfield.

The post and the dedication to her pet pooches comes after the actress has released a book titled 'Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life'.

The book is based on Jennifer's rescue dog named Clyde, who she has owned since 2021, and it's described as a 'delectable and fun-filled picture book about self-discovery and self-confidence starring her food-loving dog Clydeo'.

Speaking in a statement about the release, Jennifer explained: "I could not be more thrilled to be taking Clydeo and his stories to publishing, where he will hopefully inspire children and dog-lovers alike with his adorable journey to find his true passion."

She added: "When I decided to partner with Invisible Universe to bring Clydeo to life on social media, I could have never imagined how much joy he would bring to his fans and followers."
