Justin Bieber has sent a supportive message to Frank Ocean after his highly-criticized Coachella set.

The 'Novacane' singer took to the stage for his first live performance since 2017 at Flow Festival in Finland and let's just say that fans were far from pleased.

The star turned up late for the headline performance and - to make matters worse - he then had to wrap the set up early due to the festival’s curfew. Check it out:

Ocean has come under fire for his closing set at the first weekend of this year's Coachella festival over the weekend (16 April) after making a debut appearance on stage for the first time in over half a decade.

If all those years weren't enough, eager fans were then made to wait an entire hour before anything started.

The singer has since been slammed as festivalgoers were left totally outraged and 'disgusted' by the whole ordeal.

However, Bieber, who was in the audience at the time, has been quick to defend the musician and has offered a touching message to the elusive singer.

Bieber took to Instagram yesterday (17 April), to share with his 286 million followers exactly how he felt about Ocean's performance.

He posted a photo of the 'Thinkin Bout You' singer performing on stage alongside a lengthy caption backing his creative decisions.

"I was blown away by Frank Ocean's Coachella performance," Bieber penned.

He went on to write: "His artistry is simply unmatched, his style, his taste, his voice, his attention to detail... I was deeply moved."

Not only that, but the 'Baby' hit-maker revealed that the performance was so powerful and inspiring that it made him 'want to keep going and get better as an artist'.

"He continues to set the bar high and gave me a night I will never forget! Thanks Frank," he concluded.

While Bieber opted to turn the comments off for obvious reasons, it's not stopped people from sharing their support in other ways.

Nearly 900,000 thousand people rushed in to hit like on the heartfelt post within less than 24 hours of it being posted.

His supportive message has since gone viral across other social media platforms, with many taking to Twitter to share their reactions to it given that they couldn't via Instagram.

A fair few theorised that the 'Despacito' singer was not in a sober state of mind when he issued the statement.

One Twitter user claimed: "Justin was drunk when he posted it leave him alone."

Others hit back at the singer for his bold defense of the headliner.

"You was deeply moved by what? All he did was stand around, barely performed and ended his set early," one stated.

Another added: "With his stage presence?? He has to be joking," while a final Twitter user pointed out: "You don’t have to be dishonest to be a supportive friend."

What do you make of it?
