Howard Stern slams Oprah Winfrey for showing off her enormous wealth

The radio host said it's outrageous the iconic A-lister would flaunt her possessions in front of people who might not have anything.

Howard Stern has ripped into Oprah Winfrey and accused the iconic star of flaunting her wealth.

When you're one of the richest celebrities around (her net worth is estimated to be around $3.5 billion), you might end up flashing the odd fancy car or expensive-looking jewellery.

But, shock jock Stern says he's sick of seeing Winfrey parade her fortune around on social media.

In a recent episode of The Howard Stern Show, the presenter said Oprah should think twice about showing off what she's got.

"It’s f**king mind blowing when you follow her on Instagram,” he started.

“You see her estates, her gardens, the people who service her and, you know…She’s got servants and, like, people cooking and it’s f**king wild.

"She knows how to be rich…she kind of likes to show it off, which is something I’m not comfortable with. I don’t think that people should show off their wealth.”

He was having this conversation with his radio co-host, Robin Quivers, who tried to defend the former TV talkshow host.

Quivers replied: "Oprah’s just showing you her life. She’s not showing off."

To be fair, if you peruse her Instagram, you'll see very little explicit or active flaunting.

Howard Stern has accused Johnny Depp of 'overacting' in his ongoing defamation lawsuit trial against Amber Heard.

Some people on Instagram love to name drop a brand label or boast about what they've just bought.

Oprah hardly rubs it into the faces of her social media followers.

But Howard Stern wasn't done.

He said: "You gotta be a little self-aware and know that there are people struggling out there, Robin. You got to.

"You gotta kind of think about people who don’t have — to eat. You know what I’m saying? I mean, come on. You gotta be a little bit aware of this."

Robin cleverly quipped back and asked if people's hunger or financial problems would be fixed if Oprah stopped showing off her wealth.

Obviously that was a no.

Howard Stern replied: "I make a good living, and I’m having trouble watching Oprah. I go, 'Wow. Look what’s going on over there'?

"Her estate is unbelievable. When she goes shopping, she goes shopping in her backyard cause everything is growing back there.

"There’s a farm back there."

Sounds like someone is just a little jealous.

Thankfully it wasn't all doom and gloom in the radio show rant as Stern commended Oprah on her charity work.
