Elon Musk has admitted that he wanted to punch Kanye West after the rapper tweeted out a picture of a swastika.

The rapper, also known as Ye, had his account suspended by Twitter after tweeting a picture of a swastika combined with the Star of David, the symbol of the Jewish faith.

He had only recently been readmitted to Twitter, posting a tweet reading 'Shalom', following Musk's takeover of the platform after getting banned for making anti-Semitic comments.

Kanye had posted that he was going to go 'death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE' and got his account banned for it.

His account was one of the many which had been reinstated when Musk took over, but the Twitter CEO once again banned him and explained how he was feeling about the whole furore.

Speaking about Kanye's ban on a Twitter Spaces Q&A, company boss Musk was asked about freedom of expression on the social media site, which given the time it was asked was a clear reference to the rapper's actions.

Musk, who later tweeted that he'd tried my best' with Kanye and that the rapper had been banned again because he 'violated our rule against incitement to violence', gave his view of things.

He said: "I personally wanted to punch Kanye, so that was definitely inciting me to violence. That's not cool.

"At some point you have to say what is incitement to violence because it is against the law in the US. Posting swastikas in what obviously is not a good way is an incitement to violence."

The rapper also recently made comments about Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler while appearing on Alex Jones' InfoWars show.

Twitter boss Elon Musk explained that Kanye had been kicked off Twitter.

During the interview with the conspiracy theorist who was found guilty of defaming the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting, the rapper said 'I like Hitler' and that he 'sees good things about Hitler'.

He said: "I love everyone, and Jewish people are not gonna tell me... 'You can love us, and you can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography.'

"But this guy that invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use as a musician - you can't say out loud that this person ever did anything good, and I'm done with that.

"I'm done with the classifications, every human being has something of value that they brought to the table. Especially Hitler."

As far as many are concerned it's pretty much the final nail in the rapper's coffin as far as his career goes, as it's not really easy to make a comeback after praising Hitler.
