Dakota Johnson apologizes to interviewer who she and Leslie Mann 'sexually harassed' in interview

The actor said sorry to the interviewer she 'sexually harassed' during an interview

Dakota Johnson apologized to an interviewer who she and Leslie Mann 'sexually harassed' during an interview.

The 50 Shades of Grey star sat down to speak about the movie How To Be Single when she allegedly 'harassed' the individual conducting the interview.

The pair seemingly egged each other on and even asked the man to remove an article of clothing mid-conversation.

Check out the awkward interaction here:

Johnson and Mann came under fire for their behavior towards Chris Van Vliet during the interview which all started with some flirting over socks of all things.

Mann told the interviewer: "Look how cute your socks are!" as he started blushing.

Handling the compliment with grace, Vliet responded: "Thank you. No one sees them on TV, but I know that they're there."

Johnson then amped up the compliment one step further, saying: "We know they're there," with a more than friendly tone.

Cutting to the chase, Mann then blurted out: "Are you single? You're handsome."

Vliet revealed that he was, in fact, single and added: "Thank you! Tell me more!"

"You look like you have really big muscles," Johnson chimed in.

The duo then called over two of their friends to check out Vliet, saying: "You guys! Look! Hot guy!"

The pair tried to set up the interviewer with their friends.

Flipping the interview on its head, Johnson then asked Vliet: "Do you work out a lot?" which is when things really took a turn.

"Could you take off your shirt?" Mann asked.

Vliet queried 'which one' before the pair told him to remove 'all of them'.

After some giggling, Mann then instructed the interviewer to undo 'more buttons' on his shirt, declaring that she and Johnson 'won't speak' unless he abided.

"This is like," Vliet responded as he unbuttoned his dress shirt. "Like bribing me."

With half of his chest already out, the pair of actors then gesture for him to keep unbuttoning and he exclaimed: "What?!"

"So, we're going to do the interview like this?" he asked, with most of his torso on show.

Clearly, that wasn't enough for the two stars as they made another gesture for him to ditch the shirt altogether.

The trio started nervously laughing at which point Johnson confirmed Vliet 'looks great'.

"Great," she continued. "Can everyone leave?"

Vliet, clearly beside himself, then said: "This is the best interview ever!"

He concluded the interview by saying: "This was so much fun."

While for many, Vliet included, the encounter was considered to just be some light-hearted banter - it's clear that some viewers weren't too impressed with the actors' conduct at all and even accused Johnson of 'sexually harassing' him.

Years later, Johnson was interviewed by Vliet yet again for the movie Bad Times at the El Royale where she addressed what went on that fateful day.

She confessed: "Me and Leslie Mann sexually harrassed you and I apologize."

"Oh," Vliet responded. "Thank you, I appreciate that."

He did, however, add: "It was the most fun interview of my career.

"It was awesome."
