NFL fans are getting sick of Taylor Swift repeatedly being shown during games

Football fans are growing tired of seeing Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games in the wake of her rumored romance with Travis Kelce

While Travis Kelce may be enjoying seeing Taylor Swift's face in the crowd, NFL fans are much less enthusiastic about her frequent appearances.

'Shake It Off' hitmaker Swift, 33, has been seen a handful of times watching Kansas City Games lately amidst rumors that she's dating football star Kelce.

Kelce, also 33, has of course spotted the global superstar in the stands, and hailed Swift as being 'ballsy' for going to the games.

She was even spotted in Kelce's personal suite alongside his mom.

"Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy," he said on the New Heights podcast.

Kelce went on to gush about his rumoured new love interest: "I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light."

While the 33-year-old said Chiefs fans were 'all excited that she was there', the novelty may have already worn off as when the hitmaker was shown on screen at a recent game, people were reported to have literally groaned.

Elsewhere, other NFL fans took to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their thoughts on Swift's apparent newfound love of football (and football's love of Swift).

In a question directed at NBC, one person wrote: "Are you going to stop showing Taylor Swift and focus on the game?"

"How many times does @SNFonNBC plan on showing Taylor Swift tonight?" another asked.

"NBC showing Taylor swift every 35 seconds finally justifies my hatred for the chiefs," fumed someone else.

In light of the host of celebs that have been joining Swift at the games, Kelce's brother, fellow footballer Jason Kelce, urged the NFL not to go 'overboard' with the coverage of the stars.

"I just think the NFL is not used to celebrities coming to the games," the Philadelphia Eagles player said.

"Like, basketball has it figured out. They're all courtside, they're sitting there. They show them once or twice, but they get back to the game.

"The NFL is like, 'Oh, look these A-list celebrities at the game' - and keep showing them."

He added: "You can't be overboard with it. People are there to watch the game."

But the NFL showing the songstress on screen appears to have boosted NFL female viewership.

According to Deadline, Sunday's Swift-centric broadcast saw a 53% uptick in viewership by girls ages 12-17.

There was also an increase in views among women aged 18-24 and women over the age of 35.

Don't doubt the power of the Swifties.
